2026 SIDF Masterclass Series: Aguibou Bougobali SANOU
Duration
Jun 13 2026 - Jun 13 2026
YELEEN FALLEEN W/ AGUIBOU BOUGOBALI SANOU (BURKINA FASO, AFRICA)
Yeleen Falleen, in Bambara and Dioula (spoken in Mali and Burkina Faso, Cote d'Ivoire, Guinea), can be translated as the exchange of light or the growth of light. Light is a vital source of energy, the light of the sun, the light of the soul, the light of the heart, and also the light as a trace of the ancestors.
This gathering is a moment of encounter, a meeting of many lights from diverse horizons.
The workshop will feature movements from traditional Mandingue dances, blended with everyday gestures. These movements will serve as our ingredients, our spices to "cook" a shared creation: a collective dance, born from our lights coming together.
This class is open to all skill levels.
